Apartment types
AYY has several types of apartments for diverse needs. New degree students usually start their studies by living in a shared apartment or a friends’ apartment. Studios and studio rooms in a shared apartments are suitable for those who live alone. For family and friends’ apartments, we provide two-room, three-room, and four-room apartments. All AYY apartments are unfurnished. You can find apartment rents, more specific locations, and layouts in Domo.

Shared apartments
Shared apartments have single rooms in one apartment. The apartments typically have 2–12 single rooms and common facilities. In larger shared apartments, single rooms have their own bathroom/toilet and a fridge. The room doors have locks that only work with the key of the resident living in the room. Common facilities can be accessed with any of the tenant keys.
The apartment has a fridge and a freezer located in either a single room or the kitchen. Additionally, the kitchen has an oven and a stove. Closet space can be found in the kitchen and the single rooms. Common facilities mostly have a dining table and chairs.
Single rooms are tenants’ personal spaces. You cannot change rooms with other tenants. It is prohibited to accommodate guests and keep pets in shared apartments. Single rooms in a shared apartment can only be applied alone – not with a child, spouse, or friend, for example. All residents in a shared apartment are jointly responsible for maintenance and cleaning of common facilities.
Studios
Studios include one room, kitchen/kitchenette/open kitchen, and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, and oven. The apartment also includes built-in closets. Studio rooms in shared apartments
A studio room in a shared apartment includes a private room with a bathroom and a kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, and oven. In addition, the shared apartment has common facilities and a hallway, and possibly a shared balcony. Pets are allowed.
Two-room apartment within a shared apartment
Two-room apartments within a shared apartment have their own kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom as in usual two-room apartments. In addition, the apartment has a shared hallway and possibly a shared balcony with another or several apartments.
Two-room and larger apartments
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, and oven. In addition, the apartment has at least one bathroom and built-in closets. The number of bedrooms (br) depends on the apartment type. Two-room apartments can have either two bedrooms (2 x br) or one bedroom and one living room (lr+br). Three-room apartments have two bedrooms and a living room, and four room apartments have three bedrooms and a living room.
Two-room apartments and larger are suited for families with children, couples, and friends. You can also apply alone for two-room apartments. Pets are allowed.
