Waste management in apartments
AYY properties aim to provide residents with convenient recycling opportunities. Recycling instructions can be found near the recycling bins and in the ground floor lobbies of staircases. Learn more about waste sorting:
Sorting other waste
Households also produce other types of waste beyond what is recycled in our properties. The metropolitan area offers numerous recycling points, so you can easily find a suitable option nearby. Additionally, explore the schedules of Sortti vehicles that collect hazardous and metal waste across the metropolitan area annually. Read more about recycling and waste collection points:
Recycling usable items
The recycling center in the metropolitan area, for example, collects clean and usable furniture and small items. You can also personally bring donations to recycling centres.
Leaving items in staircases or communal areas is prohibited due to a fire safety risk. Storing items in corridors is also prohibited under the Rescue Act. If AYY has to remove your belongings from communal areas, you will be liable for all associated costs.

Clothing recycling
Undamaged clothes can be delivered in plastic bags to the UFF collection point in the yard of Otakaari 20. Cloths must be clean and packed in a plastic bag. More information about the clothing collection organisation can be found on the UFF website.
Electronic waste
Electronic waste recycling point is located in the courtyard of Otakaari 20. The recycling point is located inside a separate building in the courtyard. Access is through the rightmost door.
